Posted on

The works of Young Architects in Africa are currently on display at the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre Gallery. This exhibition which is a production by AS Architecture Studio is a showcase of selected projects from the competition they took part in France in 2014.

It highlights the plight of young architects in their search for an architectural language that emphasises and encompasses the social, environmental, vernacular and participative nature of the continent. The exhibition welcomes emerging African architects to display their creativity and originality and to guide them towards international recognition.

The ‘Dordabis Community Spine’- a winning project is also on display at the gallery. It was designed by young architects based in Dordabis village, Windhoek. The exhibition is open until May 9.
