Becoming an Architect

Architecture is one of the most influential professions in our global society. A career in Architecture offers opportunities to shape, perhaps even transform the environment in which we live. Architecture brings together the arts, environmental awareness, sciences and technology.

Architects combine creative design with technical knowledge to provide integrated solutions for built and natural environments not just for today but for future generations. They also work in occupations ranging from urban planning and property development to teaching, furniture design and disaster relief.

Asides the good old-fashioned hand-sketching that is required, the following software skills: Revit skills, AutoCAD skills, Sketchup, Grasshopper, and Photoshop are needed. LEED(Leadership in Energy and Environmental Development) Accreditation is an added advantage.
